As a Crèche Team Member, you will play a vital role working with the Creche Team Leader to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for pre-schoolers during church services and events. Your dedication to ensuring the well-being of our youngest attendees will allow parents to fully participate in worship and activities.
*Please note this role necessitates a PVG (Police Vulnerable Sector Check) certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up the crèche area with age-appropriate toys, books, and supplies.
- Welcome parents and children with a warm and friendly demeanour, offering reassurance and support.
- Create a safe and secure environment by following strict supervision and safety protocols.
- Engage with infants and toddlers through play, storytelling, and simple activities.
- Attend to children’s basic needs, including feeding, changing, and comforting as necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow Crèche Team Members to ensure a smooth and organised experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic crèche area, sanitising toys and surfaces as needed.
- Assist in the sign-in and sign-out process, ensuring proper identification and security.
- Attend training sessions to learn about safety, hygiene, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
- Genuine love for infants and toddlers and a nurturing attitude.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to comfort and engage with young children.
- Basic understanding of infant care, feeding, and hygiene practices.
- Reliable and punctual attendance to fulfil crèche duties during services and events.
